The President and the Democratic majority are abusing the trust of the “Change Vote”. The Stimulus Bill represents the exact opposite of change: it is bloated with special interest projects, very few of which are actually stimulative; more than 250 distinguished economists have come out against it; and the worst kind of fear mongering is being used rush an enormous expansion of...

Moral Hazard
Here’s billions of dollars for your business. You can buy and sell as many mortgages as you’d like. Keep the profits. Don’t worry about bad loans; the tax payers got that covered.

Onion promotes state run health care
Nothing pisses me off more than liberal dogma infiltrating some form of comedy that I enjoy. Gist: “Conservatives enjoy paying high premiums for mediocre health care”. Claims system is 37th best in the world. If best means affordability, then obviously the indirect-tax supported systems appear more affordable, but I have a very hard time believing India has a better health care system....

Sick Song
Just finished listening to an NPR podcast about the investigation of a suspected terrorist in the U.S. in the days right afer 9/11. The piece rightly shows how incompetent our government is, but goes off the deep end at the end when it plays a reggae song with the lyrics “Who are terrorists? Who are the heroes?”. To play a song like that right after doing a story on our government is...

Put something cool in a banner ad, and I’ll click it. It’s weird . I can’t help but to think of it as giving something back to the advertiser that makes the site I’m looking at possible. Probably the capitalist in me… or click happy internet addict looking for some sort of purpose.
